Shadowspawn hails from the greater Copenhagen area in Denmark and has existed since 2013. Following a 4 track demo, the band released the six-tracker “Ashes of Sorrow” in 2015. Two years later, the band released their first full album entitled  “Hope Lies Dormant”. The album was very well received worldwide, and was announced Album of the Year 2017 by heavymetal.dk.

In 2025 Shadowspawn inked a deal with renowned metal label Via Nocturna, promising a bright and brutal future for Shadowspawn fans worldwide.

Now, early 2026 the Danish death-metallers unleashed their fifth album, “Cadaver Dogs”.

“Cadaver Dogs” consists of ten groovy death metal tracks, set in a abstract lyrical world of steampunk and religious criticism. The album is entirely mixed and produced by the band itself.
